Great family run campground. Quiet, clean and great fishing. Right next to the public boat launch and not far from the beach or town. Nice park for the kids and the friendly owners greated our kid with a sucker! Highly recommended!
Excellent place to camp and fish. You can RV or rent a cabin or rent a boat. Owners are helpful and kind. Lots of regulars. I highly recommend it!!
My family we went to this camp ground , where I have never seen a house in a middle of the camp ground, kids can't run around, guy comes running telling our kids to go back to they trailers and around 8pm they shut they wash room and can't shower late , around 10:20pm we were sitting around the fire pit same guy comes out yelling at me in front of my kids to put the fire out and head inside the camper and next thing he starts making complaints about my in laws were there visiting us saying to l
My family of ten just got back from a 3 day weekend at norms. We booked the cabin, loft a one campsite with boat dock. Everything was great. Very clean and quiet campsite. Close to town in case you needed something close to boat launch. Had fun fishing. Will definitely go back. Thanks to Arlene the campsite manager for making our stay so pleasant
My family and I have been going to this campground since 2001. The family takes great pride in their campground. It is a quiet campground that does not allow crazy parties. We book a year ahead because they are so busy. It is situated on the slave river and close to the beach and town. The lady that runs the campground pretty much does it by herself and puts her heart and soul into it. I highly recommend this place if your looking for a nice quiet get-away with good fishing.
This place is not the place to go with family. I will not be going back nor will I be recommending my friends to go. There is a house in the middle of the property. They watch you and walk across your campsite that you paid for. No privacy and I was always on edge to make sure my kids fix drop anything on the ground. Around 12 in the afternoon all the kids from our campsite was asked to clean up the park while they were still playing. My sisters 3 year old had an accident in her pants. She went to the washroom to clean up and the people that run the place had her in tears about the mess she was making. Her was not far behind her to check on her. The 3 year old thought she was helping her mom by cleaning herself. Poor girl. They had a pump truck clean the sewer beside our camp at 5 pm.. Yes supper time and to smell that stink. Gross. The mowed the lawn in our area while we were still there. No consideration for people that pay and their privacy. Don't go to this place unless you own a motor home or they will stare you down like you don't belong. My family and I wasted $600 and a week feeling do uncomfortable. Worst holiday ever.
PRO'S: The site itself is clean and quiet with access to a boat launch right next door. CON'S: Absolutely NO privacy with each individual spot is REALLY close together, almost pass your sugar through the window to your neighbour close. You are RIGHT beside the highway and VERY close to the airport..The "camp ground" is on what seems to be someones personal home and looks like they have divided their own yard up into cramped over stuffed parking lot. There was a guy that was in charge of camp site maintenance and WOW he was the most arrogant, rude, egotistical man. He ALONE is the reason I will not be back to this location! He was walking around like a man on a mission, touching peoples personal property and throwing personal property around, making up his own rules as he went and yelling at the campers. Please keep in mind, this is a quiet camp site and all campers in our area were following ALL of the half page long rules provided at check in. There were no drunks, no loud people, just mellow couples enjoying the quiet evening. He was even accusing campers of bothering the tree's, because of fallen leaves and branches on the ground from wind and late August fall weather which were all over the camp site. It was really shocking and dumb founding.. Rest assured I will be telling my family and friends NOT to go here. I would be checking around for other camping spots if I were you...
