Bua Thai Restaurant welcomes you to their dining room. They are accessible by public transit and are in a vibrant location recognized for its nightlife.
The pad Thai goes by a slightly different name here, but it is the pad Thai you know and love. You can go vegetarian with the Phat Thai Jai or go all out with the Phat Thai dish, which has pork and shrimp (genius!), not to mention the traditional egg, bean curds and bean sprouts. You can’t go wrong with either option – we all know fried stick stick noodles are the key to a kick ass pad Thai.
This cozy Thai restaurant, tucked away beside the Sicilian Pasta Kitchen on Jasper Avenue, has been a favourite of mine for years. The green curry with chicken and coconut rice is a heavenly mix of sweet and spicy, and the stuffed chicken wings are an adventurous and filling starter. They offer delivery through an easy-to-use online system, so you never have to go without your fill of tasty Thai cuisine, including soups, curries and stir-fries.
The green curry here is to die for – thick and creamy, with plenty of meat (I prefer the chicken but the beef is solid too), green and red peppers and fresh basil. Plus, it has a decent spice level. It pairs well with the restaurant’s fluffy coconut rice. Adventurous types will want to order the stuffed chicken wings – the best in the city. Bua Thai also has a good variety of vegetarian Thai dishes, which is a nice bonus.
