Our unique location puts you within minutes of any destination in the city, we are the closest Travelodge to the Chinook Centre, Downtown, Saddledome & major hospitals. Nice rooms. Great people.
My boyfriend and I came to Calgary for an event and were supposed to have reservations elsewhere that fell through. Being a busy weekend with a concert in the city, this hotel was one of the only ones on Macleod with vacancy however we could not stay there because the ONLY method of payment was credit card. Even if we had booked the hotel with a credit card and showed up with the intention of just paying cash, we would not be able to stay as they need to see you AND the credit card you booked with. Absolutely inconvenient and the front
desk staff were extremely rude.
This Old Travelodge is on Mcleod trail is decent, but I think It's a bit too much to pay $95+tax/night for a room here, when you can easily get a much nicer hotel room in town for a few dollars more. In My opinion, This should be more of a $80 max/night place. The rooms are decent, but not overly clean, I did notice the carpets and furniture were quite worn and dingy, bathrooms were not as clean as I would have liked for almost $100...The continental breakfast was a joke, but wasn't expecting much... However, this is one of the last accommodations in Calgary that allows smoking in some rooms... which is why I chose it.
I would say that this is about a 3- 3.5 star hotel, recently we stayed here for a trip with some friends. The rooms were kinda dingy and the staff was on and off friendly. Overal not the best experience...
